SMCS Video Production
Our videography service is something we're very proud of and excited about. Our students come from a variety of backgrounds and interests and understand what it takes to engage the viewer with creative and technical skills for behind as well as in front of the camera.
We utilize both DSLR HD Video Technology featuring the Canon 5D Mark II, and conventional digital HD Camcorders from Panasonic along with the latest editing software; Final Cut Pro, After Effects, and Motion, just to name a few. All of our original content is in 1980x1080p HD (Blu-Ray quality) from which we edit, resize and compress to suit. [see samples]
The average cost of a production can vary widely depending on the request. Every project is subject to estimation as there are a number of production tasks* that constitute the final cost, both during the shoot and in post-production. These need to be determined early on during an intial consultation. It could be as little as a few hundred for a simple capture without any post-production to several thousand for a project involving scriptwriting, motion graphics, complex videography and editorial, etc. Available rates for known processes are listed below.
